How to Find Your Signature Spring Fragrance

Spring is officially here and summer is around the corner. This means three things: warm weather, less clothing and new perfume. Just like you switch up your style according to the season, you should also swap your scents. Hot weather causes fragrances to become more intense, so you shouldn’t wear a heavier scent as you might in the Fall or Winter because you will smell about as sexy as mothballs. No bueno!

Check out a few light, Spring-y perfume options, for both day and night, that you need to sample on your next trip to Macy’s or Sephora. When you’re there, remember to stop and smell the coffee beans!

DAY:

For those of you who love fruity scents, go for Dior Addict 2 or Dolce and Gabbana Rose The One, which both have grapefruit top notes. If you want something more crisp and classic, the floral oriental Burberry Brit or Miss Dior Cherie are for you. If you love strong florals, sniff the all-time classic L’Air du Temps.

Another classic, feminine Spring scent is Chance by Chanel. I really love this one too. At $80 for 1.7 oz, it’s expensive, but worth it. This is the modern day Chanel No. 5.

Ahhh, how we all love Summer nights. They’re humid, yet sultry, and you need the right fragrance to match.

My favorite right now is Calvin Klein Euphoria, which is a woody oriental with notes of pomegranate and vanilla. It smells heavenly. Perfect for someone who likes crisp, fresh fragrances during the day. Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Dior Addict are sex in a bottle. They are both on the heavier side, so if you like a strong distinctive scent, you will like those. If you want a more airy version of these sensual fragrances, you will adore Kenzo Amour.
