TOMS’ A Day Without Shoes
We have all seen people walking around in these canvas, comfy-looking slip-ons called TOMS, but how many of us know the backstory on the company? I just found out that today is TOMS’ “A Day Without Shoes,” a worldwide event encouraging people to go barefoot for an entire day to literally take a walk in the shoes of the millions of children who have to walk barefoot in developing nations.
As much as I post images of fab stiletto heels, I never really stopped to think that there are people out there who can’t buy shoes for style – they can’t even buy shoes for the simple necessity of protecting their feet from rocks, rusty nails and toxic soil.
TOMS is a company that donates one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair sold.
I might not be going barefoot today, but I will definitely be purchasing a pair of TOMS in the near future.
If you don’t want to buy a pair of TOMS, check out the charity called Shoes That Fit, which also focuses on donating shoes to kids in the U.S. who have to struggle through school day in shoes that are worn down and too tight simply because their parents cannot afford to buy them new ones.

Some time before, I needed to buy a house for my business but I didn’t have enough money and couldn’t order anything. Thank goodness my mate proposed to get the business loans at reliable creditors. Therefore, I acted so and was satisfied with my credit loan.

Hello there! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog before but after checking through some of the post I realized it’s new to me. Anyhow, I’m definitely delighted I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back often!
Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
I’ve observed that in the world the present moment, video games are classified as the latest popularity with children of all ages. There are times when it may be unattainable to drag your son or daughter away from the games. If you want the best of both worlds, there are various educational activities for kids.
